The Abbé Pierre Foundation is an association created in 1987 that acts to enable all disadvantaged people to access decent housing and a dignified life.
How can it help you?
Shelter and housing for disadvantaged people
The Abbé Pierre Foundation runs daytime reception areas called "Boutiques Solidarité", where disadvantaged people can rest, have a snack, shower, wash their clothes, and be listened to, oriented, and accompanied.
The association has also set up lodging facilities called "Pension de famille", where people in need can enjoy private accommodation and shared spaces.
Assistance with administrative and legal procedures
The Foundation maintains a national telephone platform, "Allô Prévention Expulsion", on +33 810 001 505. This platform provides tenants in need who fear eviction from their homes with information to guide them through the legal and social procedures and direct them to structures closer to home that can help them.
Activities
- National program to eradicate substandard housing (housing renovation operations)
- Financial support for the production of low-rent, energy-efficient housing
- Public awareness of poor housing
- Public actions and research to change national policies
- Financing of housing construction and rehabilitation projects abroad
