Secours Catholique-Caritas France is an association that acts against poverty and in favour of solidarity in France and the world. It is a service of the Catholic Church, whose mission is to support the most fragile and vulnerable people.
How can it help you?
Support for homeless and poorly housed people
Secours Catholique helps homeless people by organizing street rounds to meet them and facilitate their referral to Secours Catholique's reception facilities. The association can also ensure the domiciliation of homeless people to allow them to receive mail and benefit from social services.
Secours Catholique runs daycare centers where those in need can access essential goods and services (sanitary facilities, laundry, etc.) and be accompanied in their administrative procedures.
Support to families and children
Secours Catholique has set up initiatives to support families in parenthood and children's education. For example, the "Maisons des Familles" (family centers) are places where parents and children can meet to exchange and help each other. Secours Catholique also offers educational support for children in difficulty and sets up projects promoting access to leisure and culture.
Help in accessing rights
Secours Catholique offers, when necessary, emergency assistance to households and accompanies them in accessing their social rights. The association can offer one-time financial aid in case of critical situations. The day centers allow people in positions of great exclusion to benefit from material aid (free meals, access to various services, grocery stores, solidarity stores, etc.). Secours Catholique can also help people with their administrative procedures.
