France Terre d'Asile is an association created in 1971 whose aim is to promote and defend the right to asylum. It works for a dignified and adapted reception of people needing protection: asylum seekers, refugees, and isolated foreign minors. The association carries out social and legal work, information actions, approaches, and interventions with the public and private organizations concerned.

How can it help you?

Social and administrative assistance to asylum seekers

France Terre d'Asile welcomes, informs, and guides asylum seekers according to their needs. It provides administrative, legal, and social support throughout the asylum application process.

The association manages the first reception structures nationwide, enabling it to house asylum seekers and help them with their first administrative steps.

Reception of asylum seekers and refugees

France Terre d'Asile manages reception centers for asylum seekers (CADA). Asylum seekers are housed there and receive social, legal, and administrative support to help them prepare their asylum applications.

Beneficiaries of international protection are also assisted in their first steps towards integration (job search, housing, learning the French language).

Reception of isolated foreign minors

France Terre d'Asile provides shelter, reception, and guidance to unaccompanied foreign minors through various mechanisms (outreach, accommodation, training, etc.). The support provided is based on elaborating on a life project, learning the French language, and a socio-educational follow-up aiming at autonomy.

Activities

  • Training of professionals in the sector on asylum law, psychological, legal, and social support for asylum seekers and refugees, and the professional integration of refugees
  • Conducting projects for the professional integration of refugees and migrants (integration accommodation services)
  • Assistance in exercising the rights of persons placed in administrative detention centers
  • Advocacy and dialogue with the highest authorities of the State and the European Union on the defense of the right to asylum and the situation of asylum seekers
