UFC-Que Choisir is an association created in 1951 that fights for the defense of consumers' interests, the development of more responsible consumption, and the control of the impacts of services and acts of purchase on the environment. It has a strong presence throughout France, with more than 140 local associations.
How can it help you?
If you have a dispute with a professional, you can go to your local UFC-Que Choisir association to obtain general information about your conflict. This information can concern all consumer sectors: insurance, telephony, automobile, etc. To get a more advanced accompaniment, you will nevertheless have to become a member of the association. The association will then be able to act on your behalf, take steps, invite the professional to an amicable settlement, etc.

Activities
- Through a constant watch, UFC-Que Choisir denounces bad practices and, in doing so, calls on professionals and local, national, and European public authorities to change things
- UFC-Que Choisir launches legal actions to ensure the respect of consumers' rights. These actions aim to stop and sanction illegal practices by professionals but also to ensure that consumers obtain redress
- It organizes mobilization campaigns, as well as petitions, to make the consumers' voice heard by members of parliament, the government, or the European authorities
